Product Description
An ultra-compact spring-loaded tension weight, designed to provide the rope tension required for the overspeed governor rope in the lift shaft, without the need for traditional cast weights. This version is fixed directly to the guide rail, making it ideal where floor space in the pit is limited or unavailable.
The R4MC replaces conventional mass-based tensioning with a spring mechanism, making it an ultra compact spring tensioner suitable for floor fixing, guide-rail fixing, or both together. The guide-mounted configuration keeps the tensioner clear of the pit floor entirely, making it especially well suited to installations with restricted pit depth or where floor-mounted fixings aren't practical.

Important note: As with all tension weight systems, the pulley diameter must match the sheave diameter of the associated overspeed governor. No additional counterweight is required when using a spring-type tensioner such as the R4MC.

Fitted to the guide rail in the lift pit to maintain correct tension on the overspeed governor rope, ensuring reliable governor operation. Particularly suited to installations with restricted pit depth or floor space, where a floor-mounted or standard weighted tensioner would not be practical.
