Holesaw Hole Enlargement Arbor
- The easy way to enlarge existing holesaw holes.
- Hero-Arbor is compatible with most Hex and SDS shank holesaw arbors.
- Suitable for holesaw diameters 14mm up to 152mm.
Technical Information
- Attach the required new hole size holesaw to your standard holesaw arbor in the recommended manner.
- Remove the pilot drill from your existing holesaw arbor.
- Insert the Hero-Arbor into the standard holesaw arbor in place of the pilot drill ensuring the flat edge on the shank of the Hero-Arbor lines up with the grubscrew.
- Tighten the grubscrew onto the shank of the Hero-Arbor.
- Take a holesaw the same size as the existing hole that needs enlarging and screw this onto the Hero-Arbor onto corresponding thread (there are two threads on there to cater for both holesaw size ranges).
- The holesaw on the Hero-Arbor thread now becomes the pilot and centralises the assembly to allow the larger holesaw to cut easily.
- Ensure holesaw set up is placed perpendicular to the application prior to actuating the power tool.
- The Hero-arbor can now be removed from the standard holesaw arbor and the pilot drill replaced for conventional use.
- *Never insert the Hero Arbor directly into the power tool. Hero Arbor is designed to temporarily replace the pilot drill in an existing holesaw.
- Prior to use, ensure the Hero-Arbor is secured into your holesaw arbor in place of a pilot drill bit.
- Ensure holesaw set up is placed perpendicular to the application prior to actuating the power tool.
- Minimum hole enlargement of 5mm
- Smaller thread – ½”- 20 UNF
- Larger thread – 5/8” – 18 UNF
- Smaller thread for holesaw sizes 14-29mm, larger thread for holesaw sizes 32-152mm.
